Update

Like all have seen, the change is done. But some features are missing though...Obviously, my beloved designer is having a short term memory. Time to think which limb to break this time...hehehe.

I may add in a few more features in future as it's kinda a bit plain.

Tagboard's down. It was affecting the blog.

Oh well, this entry is more like an update on the blog. Will be blogging soon. Till then!

"Where am I"

I'm trying to type this entry despite the booms and bangs coming from my television. Super Robot Wars Alpha 3 is out....FINALLY. Looks like JL had a hell of a time playing it by judgng his (hilarious) walkthrough in GameFAQs message boards. LOL

Well just yesterday, I paid a visit to the new library. Seriously, it's a magificient looking building. But what's inside puts me off badly. First thing, I have NO IDEA where I was or more like where was the Fiction section. The entire lending area seems to be in an arc which got me walking into one direction and not knowing which I was in. Also, the lifts almost creeped me out. Something was wrong with the lift system. Either I can't press a floor number or the lift just wouldn't open its door. Luckily, I managed to pick up a book....Neil Gaiman's Book Of Dreams. Oh ya, I met Jeremy and Brandon from SAFPU there. I didn't know Brandon was back and they looked great.

Hmm....I just realise I have a lot of friends with the same name. Eric, Jeremy, Jeffrey, Thomas, Aaron, Brandon and etc. It becomes a habit for me to get their surnames inside my contact in my handphone so I will know who's who.

Speaking of Thomas, we met for dinner and chit-chat after he knocked off work at Central Library. Well, he's going to cosplay as Ichigo's father. And I'm looking forward to the final product and of course that special event. (*_*)

Something shocking happened to Deli and Jaclyn. Nope...it's not that they are getting married but they got injured. They went clubbing at Zouk yesterday night with Bernard and a group of friends. According to Jaclyn, they didn't do anything at all but enjoying themselves to the music. Suddenly, someone was shouting at Bernard and attempted to assault him. Deli intercepted and things got worse. The other party started throwing beer mugs(!) and later a metal stool at them. Deli pulled Jaclyn and Bernard away from the chaos while the bouncers came in to take control of the other party. Deli suffered a punch on his upper lip and Jaclyn was cut on her right foot by a fragment of glass which she stepped on. Bernard was fine. But one innocent bystander who was looking at the riot didn't get lucky...he got hit by a beer mug on the head. o.O

They are already fine as their injuries had been treated. Ok, time to sleep. Btw, Starhub sucks! -_-"

Blurred

I just came back with the guys and gals watching The Island. Well, the storyline about clones being able to feel as one as humans and to seek their existence is cool but the cons have to be the action.

It seems to emphasise the thrill of being chased and the climax of a man-to-man fight but fails badly as the camera was shaky. Maybe it meant to be but it just blurs everything up. I was trying my best to see what's going on. So people with motion sickness, please take your medication before watching. Some of the actions were well anticipated like debris flying all over the place then towards the screen. Mike seems to love these shots that he tends to overdo it.

Talking about other things that make me go blurred, Harry Potter and The Half-Blooded Prince is out. Be sure to catch it in your local bookshops and newstands. Yup you didn't misread it. Newstands. Check out the newstand next to the MRT underpass opposite Capital Building. Even newspaper uncles/aunties know what's hype to his/her young readers. LOLX.

Okay, I gonna charge up my new toy and really try to finish some games. Kai out!

Sour Thoughts

I just found out from Adam that V-Hive is actually a four-days-per-week job and he enjoys two off days on weekdays and one on weekends. That explains why he is always available for an arcade outing or the usual Thursday movies. Speaking of arcade, I finally beat Beatrice. Well, she' s the last boss for The Rumble Fish 2.

I started to feel nostalgic when Adam and me walked around Bugis. The sight of seeing youngsters and the gals around them. This era is definitely a different and exciting from my era. For me, it's always the children playground and the basketball court. Or anywhere with the companionship of your beloved family. Now, freedom rules. People wear whatever they like. The influence of Japanese and Korean culture. In my time, everyone's crazy over basketball(Kudos to Slam Dunk!!!) while now everyone's crazy over dragonboating. Some of my friends are also into it.

It may sound queer but I really notice a increase of intakes for this sport. It seems to be a winning ticket to get a sexy torso(Erm for the flesh-tasting lady...) and gals to chase after. Well, on the way home in the MRT, there's a young couple. The guy's from NUS Dragonboat('Cos his singlet said so...) and they were behaving intimately despite the passengers' stares. The gal's hands were running up and down his torso and touching his...erm...muscles(Well, I thought of using "flesh" but i have to get to the point...). I did had a wild imagination at that moment that the guy might as well strip and all the passengers will enjoy a R18 movie on the go.

On Saturday, Jaclyn asked us whether did Adam and me ever have any girlfriend before. For me, it's just that I missed the prime time in my life and also I rather resigned myself to fate. What's yours is yours to keep. Furthermore(and also frankly speaking), I don't have any target yet. As for Adam....well....unless he does take a effort to impress himself. He is tall and not totally bad-looking. It's just his hairstyle that keeps bothering me....and also his wardrobe of Bossini clothes. I did asked him to do something about his hair. He used to have a crush on two gals but it seems that they are history.

I need to get the usual media I used for my games as it seems that the current media I'm using is failing. Oh ya, a Transformer live movie is coming out on 7th of April 2007. It's going to be done by Dreamworks and directed by Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg as executive producer. Will be anticipating this dream-come-true. Time to finish reading my American Gods. (^^,)

Wing-less Journey

Suddenly I have an urge to disappear. Well not erasing my existence but what if I have the urge to leave everyone and everything. My job, my family, my friends, my commitments and everything I own. To be in a new land where no one knows me. To meet new people and friends. To be in total freedom. To be the real me.

I always have the urge to run if I see a long and endless road. The thrill to see where does the route leads me to. I also like the sea breezes or even wind itself not just because it's cooling but I always envies wind. The freedom to be go anywhere it likes. I sometimes wishes it will also take me along on its endless journey.

On the other hand, I'm burdened by the fact I love and cherish everyone and everything. To really be indifferent is an impossible task to me. It's really like a bird in a cage. It was brought up with the love and care of its master but it desires freedom. Even if it escapes, it will still know the way back home as it's the safest place to be.

Well, don't get excited over this entry. Blogging at this hour could mean something somewhere is not working properly. But then, freedom will eventually come. That day will come...

Added on 16/07/2005: Well it's really freaky but my blog did disappear for a while. Luckily, I managed to get it back.

Kindness In Disguise

Well before I start on the entry, I like to thank Ben and his family for their hospitality on Saturday. NUSS Guild House wasn't a remote place for me, so it's good to be back there. The Oreo cheesecake was a first for me and I think I will try to avoid it again....LOL Hope he likes the gift Thomas and me picked for him.

Also, Cosfest 2005 on Sunday was great as well. There was an increase of cosplayers this year. I just learnt from Thomas that Brandon and his girlfriend were also there and I kinda missed them. Urgh!

Back to business, this is disturbing and disappointing to hear that our kindness have been misused. Yes, I'm talking about Mr. T.T. Durai, the CEO for NKF. The facts were indeed astonishing. $20,000 to $25,000 per month plus an annual bonus of roughly $250,000. This is indeed better than winning lottery. Gold taps and flying on first class. Lying to the public about NKF reserves. Lies and more lies. Blasphemy. Defamation. This is even worse than that individual.

Everyone believed that every single cent they donate was being spent worth. We can't deny the fact that some of the money do reach the patients for treatments or bursaries. But morality is being the question here. Is there a need for such luxuries? Is there a need for lies? What's the point of doing charity when the only ones that benefit the most are not the patients themselves? Imagine the sweat and tears when local or oversea artistes performed with their lives and efforts. The tears shredded by the patients when they tell their misfortune. Maybe a well-spent comedy for the officials. But a terrible joke for the kidney patients.

Now there are petitions around asking Mr T.T Durai to step down or cancel the incoming fund-raising show. We have to realise the fact that NKF has never lied to us about helping the kidney patients as in fact patients do get the financial help. I believe a more appropriate way to convince the public is to confess the truth, apologise to the public and restructure the funding procedure. Like Mr T.T Durai said himself, "It's for the people..."

Leverage

Today I got into kinda of an argument with Stanley about the issue on the differences of multi level marketing and getting a proper job. Well, I had done my research about it and not to mention being conned twice to brainwashing sessions. Maybe I'm too stubborn or maybe more to dumb. Well, I didn't fall for the MLM trap.

If we really go into details about MLM, the ways or methods they offer are indeed feasible. But then, it will only happen when you have the chance and the motivation. Well you see, the benefits of MLM are that even if you are not working, you will still earn as your downline is still active. And there's no worry of being retrenched, fired or terminated as you are still paid for mininum effort. The so-called leverage. I was sharing my point of view with Stanley about how I felt that actually MLM and a proper job are the same. Why are they the same? Because in order to earn, you will have to give your efforts in both.

Stanley was giving me figures which I thought were misleading. Yes, it's true that it's good to have a goal or a dream but we still have to face reality. In order to realise goals and dreams, we will need to give our best. You can't carry this mentality that my purpose is to earn big bucks without doing anything. Well, it's not the first time we got into such an argument. I have to blame on the hypnotic effects of MLM preaching. LOL

This weekend gonna be a packed one as usual. First thing in the morning, I gonna go cut my hair and get a new dye(hopefully...). Then to retrieve Benjamin's birthday gift. Finally his birthday!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BENJAMIN!!!

Sunday will be Cosfest at Downtown East. I wanted to cosplay this year but I ran out of the costume budget. Oh well, next year then. Time to borrow a camera from Kenneth. Hehe...

Empty Void

Seriously, it's been a hour since I decided to insert a new entry in this blog. All of a sudden, I lost any thoughts or inspirations as there's practically nothing to start with. Maybe I caught this from Serena. At least, it's not the flu virus or whatever.

Watched War Of The Worlds. As usual, Steven Spielberg delivers a wonderful movie packed with stunning graphics and also human behaviour. The car robbing scene was indeed a shocking impression. Imagine ripping the windscreen apart like tearing it like a piece of paper. But I don't like the way it ended. Although I may not have read the book, but it could have ended like the way it is written in the book by not narrating the ending. Anti-climax ending I will say. Next movie: Fantastic 4.

Finally, the game which Brandon's been waiting for was released. Kagero 2 Dark Illusion. He actually got me into trying to find the prequels of it. Ok it's a puzzle and action game where you place traps in a room and try to kill people with them. The fun factor is that you can chain the traps in a combo and there's a new addition in this instalment which is the Dark Illusions. One involved chaining an enemy and throwing him/her up into the sky to be striked by lightning. Judgement Of Heaven. Personally, I wish to throw some people up the same way too. LOL. Oh by the way, Minna Daisuki Katamari Damacy is out! Time for a new rolling sensation... @_@

Words are indeed cheap. But actions speak louder than words. It's quite true anyone can say anything they like but we judge them from the things they do. It's easy to say "Sorry" but at least it's being spoken and not left unspoken. (^^,)

I need to get Ultraman The Next DVD although I already had a sneak preview of it. I would say it's also a great story plus a brand new Guyver-eque Ultraman. Oh ya, the change IS coming. Stay tuned! (^^,)>>
