Natsu Matsuri 2005

It was a pretty rush day for me on Saturday. Firstly, I had to wake up so late(I kept reminding myself to turn the alarm on but alas...), rush to Gamescore to sell off my games, rush to Changi North Japanese School then finally rush to Geylang East to attend my uncle's wake.

This year's Natsu Matsuri was a special one for me. Not that I had to miss Bon Odori to attend the wake but it was also Timothy's first and last summer festival. Well, it depends on him if he specially flies back from Australia to attend next year. He was wearing that "GUI" t-shirt he got from Geestore. I am certainly getting a piece for myself in future. For the first time, I got to see Valentine and Thomas both in a yukata and everyone seems interested about this girl who was seen walking around with Valentine. Both Ben and Swahmi came for Natsu Matsuri despite they just booked out from camp. I haven't seen Swahmi ever since he went into National Service and he was in his usual hip-hop attire. He doesn't seem to change much. The rest of the sgGamers turned up and also the groups from #FinalFantasy and #cosplay as well. I also met Rongqiang's classmates as well. It was such a surprise they remembered me despite that we only first met at Rongqiang's birthday last year. I saw Brendam and his girlfriend but this year, I didn't see Adam Yuta around. I also asked about him and I heard he was coming late and other stuffs. Ha...some people just don't change.

As usual, there was the extreme long queue for the curry rice but I went for the sushis and the yakitori store moved up near the school's compound. The weather also never failed to keep us dehydrated. Timothy was hinting to camp at the children playground.(How old are you!!! LOL!) This year, there was a new sausage store(I might have missed it in the previous years...). Sky went and bought a past edition Natsu Matsuri t-shirt. Well, I'm still amazed by the spending power of this young male. LOL. There were a lot of taiko performances this year and there were the usual J-POP dances by the individual polytechnics. I really wanted to spend more time with the gang but I had my duties to be fulfilled at the wake. So I went off around half past eight.

I was thinking whether to blog about the wake but I decided to respect my uncle and to keep it mum(The parlour crew pissed me off...). Today, my uncle was buried in the same cemetery where my grandma is. It was also a good time to interact with my relatives' children.

I am beginning to like my new job although it is still bizarre. I wouldn't say someone forced me to write this. OOPS! LOLX!

A Halo Legacy

A blink of eye. A week passed by. Many things happen. Life sucks. The end.

Well...I'm ain't the kind to keep my emotions and feelings locked by a random selected password. What's the use of keeping an online blog when it's all a deception? Be frank like Rockson! LOL!

Let's start from today. I received news that my granduncle passed away this afternoon. He was supposed to be bathing but my relatives got worried when he was in the toilet for a long while. They forced the door open and found him unconscious on the floor. The ambulance came and the medic pronounced him dead. My family got wind of his demise and both my father and sister were totally upset. It was rare to see my father in tears. We will be visiting his wake tomorrow.

Oh ya..I just changed my job. It's still retail but this time round at G2000. But the bizarre thing is that...I'm stationed...at...the ladies. Seriously, I have to reconfirm. And it's not even April the 1st. But it's the truth. Now I'm feeling like a rapist. Oh! Come to me...*slurp*

And before I forget...

NOT YOU AGAIN! YOU GAY FREAK! *BEEP *BEEP*! GONNA CASTRATE YOU!

*Cough* Brendam(TidusSG) appeared on Sunday Times last sunday. The reporter gave a summary of his Halo legacy from the time he went Korea for WCG(World Cyber Games) till now. He also made some intimidating comments which got me laughing. But he claims that the reporter seems to have exaggerated some details. It's still too hard to believe that he didn't even own a Xbox when he won his 1st WCG and his participation was to accompany Aaron, Ronald and me for fun.

Okay, it's been a tired day for me(...too much excitement at work....lolx). I will be updating the blog layout soon as that someone became a enunch after I snapped off his dick. LOLX!

Just joking. I promise I'll be good.... (^^,)

Happy Birthday Singapore

Woah, I saw the live broadcast of the National Day Parade and I will say it ROCKS! For the 1st time ever on local television and also to the public, we got to see our nation's Mobile Column. And I didn't know that the celebration wasn't just only at the Padang but Yishun, Jurong East, Marina and Tampines. The climax of the event has to be the fireworks display but this time round at all 5 locations simultaneously. But then, imagine all our money going up the sky...say goodbye to them....BOOOOM!!!

Cheng Kai beated us to it by finishing Jump Superstars and unlocking all secrets. Well, Jimmy and me seems to take our time playing it. What's the rush anyway? For Cheng Kai, maybe, as he need to do a review of the game. Brandon is still waiting for his red Nintendo DS to come. Oh ya, we tried battling each other and it was rocking fun.

I've been looking around for a brand new keyboard as the old one went RIP. But it's merely speculation now. I'm still in a dilemma between getting a new instrument or getting a Creative Prodikey. Well, all goes well for getting a Prodikey but I went to another dilemma. The keys are not full but it will cost cheaper to get a Prodikey. You know, it's been a year.

Brandon seems to like the new song In The Sky by Miz. Well, it's the opening theme for Grandia III and it was translated to Japanese for the game. I hope she will include the English version of it in her incoming 3rd album. Enjoy!

Ultraman Nexus

I finally finished the whole run of Ultraman Nexus. 37 episodes of pain, laughter and joy. Well, Nexus is a tad different from the rest of the Ultra(s) dramas. It's not your normal "the hero comes in to save the day" drama and for the first time, it's targeted to the wider audience. I will explain what I mean.

The story is sort of a follow-up from the new Ultraman movie which was shown in Japan last year's December. As usual, our blue planet is plagued with Beasts that feed on human beings and we have this secret Earth Defence organisation called TLT. And in this organisation, there're groups of people called Night Raiders that destroy Beasts and save people. The story focuses on Group A of the task force. They have a new member named Komon Kazuki. He has a girlfriend named Riko Saida. Komon was from a civil defence unit and for some reasons, he was handpicked to join the Night Raiders.

Normally, the deunamist(Ultraman) is one of the task force but he's an outsider here. Jun Himenya was a photographer for the newspaper. He was the 2nd deunamist while the 1st(The Next) was a retired fighter pilot. For more inf about the 1st deunamist, please watch the new movie. Jun had a tragic past and doesn't know the reason why he was chosen to be Ultraman. He continued to fight even though he was badly injured by the Beasts. I will say he is most pitiful Ultraman so far. No details were given about the Beasts' existence till later episodes.

Along the way, there're Dark Ultraman(s). Mizorogi Shinya is Dark Mephisto who was also an ex-Deputy Captain for Night Raiders. He was amibitious and eventually fell into dark hands. He trained Nagi(one of the Night Raiders) and both were portrayed as lovers. There's also Dark Faust who appeared at the beginning. His existence was pretty much linked to Komon's.

Around the later parts of the drama, there's a 3rd deunamist named Ren Senju. Ren's appearance brought life into the drama. He's a teenager who works in a cafe near an amusement park. He loves to smile and makes jokes of his colleagues. He has a mysterious past and fell in love with Mizuo. Mizuo is a Memory Police under TLT whose job is to erase memories related to Ultraman and Beasts.

The story is pretty much dark and there's always this mystery behind every single character. But Nexus was forced to end early due to low viewership. The younger viewers didn't understand or accept the different approach which Nexus is going at. Luckily, all doubts were answered in the last 2 episodes. I can only say it's sudden but it could be better.

Maybe to some Ultra fans, they still like the older Ultras. But to me, Nexus is the best among all I had seen. Now there's this new series called Ultraman Max which features past monsters in older Ultra series to gain back their younger viewers. But I won't miss this too as Ultraman is one of my favourite heroes around.

The song playing is called Blue Seed which is performed by a new J-Rock group called doa. So far, they only release 2 singles...Blue Seed and Hero. Both of them were featured as opening themes in Nexus. Enjoy!

My Nose Is Running

Urgh, it's a bad day for me. Firstly, it was that terrible flu that got my nose running like a tap. Then the computer had to go haywire due to the reason that I tried to repair Windows. So it's about time to give that piece of junk a good old washing up.

Firefox is indeed fast but I just can't get the reason that it always never fails to mess up the blog interface or even blocked contents on China sites. Anyone can help? T_T

Yesterday, I went hunting for a brand new PS2 with Timothy. Well, Timothy was looking for one as his slim PS2 was busted. We went Seow Choon looking for the technician Jimmy but we learnt that he had left to work in Johor Bahru. Then Timothy took a liking for a limited edition, ocean blue Japanese PS2 which is tagged at $449. But he was indecisive as I told him that the price was kinda steep. And also he was concerned about the repair of his slim PS2.

Then I brought him to Sunshine Plaza to meet up with Jeremy and Jimmy. We looked at the gashapons and model kits before deciding to go Gamescore to see if Winning Eleven 9's in. Jimmy got a interesting sweet that's called Gobstoppers which supposed to change colour and flavour as it melts in your mouth. But I kinda can't taste anything different. LOLX

Timothy is having some family problems. I believe in one thing; If you give too much freedom to someone, he/she thinks no one cares about him/her. Hope all works well for him.
