Stalker Alert

It's only a good thing to happen if a girl is stalking on me but in this case, sadly, it's a guy. Well, it's not the 1st time anyway. Still remembers how Ronald introduces himself that time...

I didn't realise it till we actually spoke. I was even wondering if I really saw this guy from somewhere but my usual acute memory voided that. My first impression of him is his almost regular visits to the shop but not buying anything at all. He seemed to be looking for something in the plush toy corner. Or trying to steal something. He was wearing an orange uniform which kinda indicated that he was working somewhere near or inside Heartland Mall. Finally, I decided to interact with him.

Firstly.....he asked if I recognised him. I said nope. He asked if I remembered dueling with a guy using Jann Lee in Dead or Alive 3 during a GameAxis event in Sitex long ago. Sitex...yup. GameAxis tournament...yeah. Dueling with him....I don't remember. Maybe I did but that scenario occured like 2 years back? He remembered me....a total stranger from 2 years back. A person that he saw for maybe just 5 minutes? What's even better if that he started to introduce himself. Then he started to do small talk with me about brawling in the game, various pointers and asking me about the Dead or Alive community in Singapore. And guess what...his reason of dropping by the shop several times previously was to make sure he didn't recognise the wrong person. Deja vu...

Well, I believed that it's his way of doing things or maybe he's a bit tensed up. He kept the conversation going even though at points, I was just flattering him. He even asked me where I stay, my favourite haunts and exchanging contacts. I was okay with it as his reason was to contact me for game outings at X-Square. From his declaration( Yup...he WAS introducing himself...), he is waiting for his O level results but frankly speaking, his build and looks make him look older than his actual age. Eventually, he kept coming to the shop during every lunch and dinner possible to chat with me...

We actually arranged for a session at X-Square on Monday which I didn't go in the end. I did give him my word of coming but I was so occupied with the Lunar preparations that I can't go. Well, it doesn't hurt to learn a new friend anyway although his approach may be a bit unusual.

Strangely, I don't see him coming to the shop after that anymore. I've been to his working place and he wasn't around. I was wondering if my action caused his absence but then it wasn't much critical anyway. But I gonna treat him if I had time for a session in future to make up for it.

Buy, Buy and Buy

Christmas was a memory to me, New Year just a week back and now Lunar New Year coming in just 22 days. The best thing is...I'm almost broke...Okay, I understand people will start to think I'm going to land myself in debts again but rest assured, it will not happen.

But then let's go through the stuffs I bought lately. A Prodikey DM, Warcraft Battle Chest, a pair of shoes and a Ipod Shuffle for my sister, my Lunar New Year clothes and shoes, a new bag and a full set of Dragonball Z comic books. The good thing about working in a bookstore is that not only I have free access to materials but I get cheap prices out of them. Although the books cost me $200, it's a worthy buy. Well, Dragonball rocks! My friends have been psycho-ing me to get Warcraft for a pretty long time due to the game DOTA. Well, I'm not good at deployment...hope I don't get "Noob!" spams all over...lol. I've been noticing this new chain called IP Zone for a while. Although it's a Hong Kong franchise like Baleno but the trend it's promoting is pretty much similar to Topman. Except super low prices. Imagine a normal canvas shoe like Converse going at $19. A funky printed T-shirt at $8.40!? Ok, I will go more in depth.

My new bag = $24.50
A printed tank-top = $8.40
A jacket = $25
A printed shirt = $24.50
A pair of pants with waist belt = $29.40
2 pairs of shoes = $38
Total = $149.80

Which also happens to be almost the same amount I spent on 2004 for just a shirt and a pair of jeans. Dirt cheap right? As for Prodikey DM, this is a long story. I actually wanted to get the original Prodikey when it first launched but due to the fact I don't have a good sound card at that time, I put it on hold. Later the DM version came and I had completely forgotten about it eventually. Then one fine day, I just walked past a PC hardware shop and I saw this Prodikey PC-MIDI retailing at $69. Then I remembered about getting the keyboard and also Ken. Ken happens to be a staff in Creative and Creative used to have a pretty good staff purchase scheme. He offered me a good price and I got it. In fact, this entry was typed using it.

There's a funny story to tell about getting the shoes and a Ipod Shuffle for my sister. Well...before watching The Chronicles of Narnia(2nd time...) with her that night, we went into a local arcade. Then she asked me to play this mole-hammering game(yup...-_-"). Prizes will be awarded if you manage to hit a certain critera. And this is what was written on my prize slip.

"1 PC NOTEBOOK...."

You can imagine how excited we felt when we went to the counter to get our notebook. Then the lady smiled at us, went to a storeroom and got us a small manga notebook.

Yup, 1 PieCe of NOTEBOOK. I was so shocked that I reconfirmed with the staff again and again. The top prize was a Ipod shuffle so there's no way there could be a laptop. My sister and I were laughing away at our mishap and she hinted to me that how she hoped we won the mp3 player....Oh well, a early birthday gift. As for the shoes....which girl don't like shoes. LOL.

Tommorrow's a busy day for me. Gonna get hair cut and dyed, send the freaking router for repairs and hope I can thrash everyone in DOA4. Till then, KAI OUT!

Goodbye 2005, Welcome 2006

It is a honour and pleasure to announce that the year 2005 has ended. So much things happened during that year and I got to know more people and understand people even better. Well, for that year, there are a couple of memorable events to remember about like I got my PSP and NDS finally. The departure of my "twin" Timothy. And of course that day itself.

Days pass like flipping through the pages of a book. A blank page means a fresh start to write something anew. I know that you'll still be reading my blog. So I gonna say it again. I'm sorry. Let's bury the hatchet.

It's been a long while since I celebrated New Year's Eve like the time I did in secondary school. Like crowding around Ngee Ann City or the Fountain of Fortune at Suntec City. The recent years or since we started earning money, we settled ourselves in the comfort of resorts or chalets. This year, we decided to go to Ministry of Sound. Well, I started the ball rolling as I like electronic music. The others followed as it was a new place to loiter about for them. Deli and the rest of the gaming gang were also going to MOS too. But then we didn't get in as there was a massive queue and it will be dampening to countdown in a queue. Once, I had my countdown in a bus on its way to Sentosa...I wondered if Deli's managed to get in after all.

We had supper then decided to watch the fireworks display at the Esplanade. It's seeming amazing how Kenneth led us through the massive crowd that spanned within. We went in from the far back, tunnelled our way through and there we were....metres away from the river. The down part was that there wasn't any countdown. Everyone screamed and roared the moment the first array of light burst in the dark sky. It went on for a steady 10 minutes. I liked a particular segment where a rain of blue lights burst, falls and spreads across the sky, thus turning the whole sky blue.

Then...we went PartyWorld to sing. It was almost a nightmare. Kenneth was playin around with the controls till a staff asked us if there was anything wrong with the equipment. Not to mention the earth-shattering prowess of my beloved buddies who thought they can be the next Andy Lau or whatever. I merely sang all those I know. We ordered beer as the main intention was to get drunk...but not for me as I have to work. Poor me...New Year Day and I have to work. Sob... Then we ate again at Lau Pa Sat. Stingray! And awfully SPICY! Finally, home sweet home.

Talking about my resolutions for 2006....hmm...of course less troubles for me. All those things left undone during 2005 will be done this year. Hopefully, I get to meet my girl 'cos too much pressure from the guys. And finally....lose some weight.

Oops, I forgot. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
