Long Weekend

Well, it's been a long while I get a chance of a long weekend or more frankly, free on a Saturday. So I got the guys out for a movie. Eight Below. And we revisited the Japanese restaurant at Cuppage Plaza.

Early that morning(I mean real early...), I woke up and the first thing I did was to finish up on a song I've been working on. I still don't dare to listen to how it turns out. It may not be good as I was still half asleep at that time. Then after that, a round of Final Fantasy XII and Okami. I found myself playing Okami more than FFXII. Well, I'm action packed. LOL. And for the first time in several months, I watched morning television till lunch. Rejoice! Human!

I had to drop by Music Junction at Kovan to return my DVDs and also pressured the girls on the whereabouts of my Advent Children DVD. Wanted to drop by workplace but my brain told me not to. It sensed a great disturbance which I found out today that they were super busy and Missy was smoking. So I dropped by IP Zone and walked out with a couple of bags....more new shirts and bermudas. I decided to leave Kovan as I knew I would blow my big hole in my pocket if I stayed on. Well, I'm already burning another one in my another pocket. So it was several calls to people like Gabriel and asking whether they were among the living or long dead like AhSiaKia. LOL.

Then it was recon time. I knew I would have trouble getting all five of us together at one time. So, Rongqiang, Lancer and I went to Cuppage to have our dinner. We had two large plates of fried rice and some fried dumplings. Sound stale right? Okay, we went there 'cos we knew the food rocks. So they ROCKS!!! I'm going to try their ramen next time.

So how's Eight Below? To some people, it may be dull as there's not much action sequences inside. To me, it was a touching experience. How someone can treat those close to him/her as a whole family and how the whole family stick together through thick and thin. It's sad that there were casualties where all of them shouldn't have taken place. But the interesting part of the movie is this part where the dogs were starving and they needed food. You get to see them communicating with each other and even plotting how to hunt for food. And also acceptance from each other. It's definitely worth to watch a second time.

After the movie, it was K-Box. I finally got them to sing. Rongqiang sound pretty good on the English oldies. Lancer...well...ganbatte ne...lol. About me...I wasn't able to sing normally as I was recovering from cold. The fun part....massive high pitch on Shin's One night In Beijing. I swear we might even break some glasses with all our screaming combined. Even though it was fun. We should have this often.

After losing much of our voices, they wanted to go for drinking. I flashed the red card and bailed out. Me cough...no alcohol. I bidded them farewell and went home. I wondered who got sabotaged and drunk....

A onsight on the things coming....loads of games but no time to play. Free money. Free trip to Asian countries...hope they decide fast enough....no more long weekends.....NOooOoooOooooOoooOooo
