Journey to the West

Someone have to tell Eugene about this. Can the venue for next year's Kouhaku become much more accessible. Maybe like in the city where a much bigger audience is possible?

So on that fateful Saturday, waking up on time proved to be a chore to me. Thanks to the hefty work from 2 outlets on 2 consecutive days. I can't tell you how much I wanted to just ignore everything and walk out. And it's not a good thing to hold on to many shop keys. Time to cut the rambo act.

After waking up to This Is Love from Utada Hikaru playing from my handphone(2nd alarm clock...), I dragged and crawled(Yup....) my torso to the computer and started doing something I would call....a malfunctioning siren. Well, I was trying to piece some music together into one whole song and it ended up....well....like the sounds from my alarm clock. It dawned to me that I might need more sleep. So I collapsed on my bed and slept all the way till 12pm noon...forgeting to set my clock again and flying Will aeroplane. Gomenenasai... T_T

I got brunch then I tried to complete N3. I tried. Really tried. Then it's Monster Hunter Freedom till I realised it was 3pm. The thought deep shit suddenly flashed across my mind. And so I had a rather quick bath and managed to flag a taxi down after been hijacked once by a lady. I was already late when I got to NUS like 5 mins late. Then the thought holy shit flashed across my mind. Where the *beep* is Lecture Threatre 13? NUS is still a maze to me and no one to direct me this time. The cab went on a tour till I decided to ask a student for directions. Not to mention a chio one too. So after roaming for 10mins in NUS, I finally got to LT13. Eugene led me to a seat. ^^:

To talk about the show, I missed the medleys but I managed to catch the individual performers. Tomoyo, Skye, Tai Ann, Vania and Rika were still the best but still some of them still literally shouted into the mike. Actually, professionally, Vania should be the best performer that night. She does have that Do-As-Infinity-que atmosphere around her. The turnout was better than last year and I would say this year might the best I have ever been to. But to talk about the flaws....well...boring and long-winded emcees....shouting into the mike....sort of miscommunications among each other....how the stage curtains were used. Thomas told me about the hard work behind the whole event and I totally agreed. This should be a standard to maintain but there's still room for improvement. Alas, if Mun Chiew sang, it would be even better. LOL.

Life's gonna be a bit busier for me as I will be everywhere in town for a period. Oh....Chrome Hounds sound like a pretty hot game as preorders are running out. Hope the shortage issue will get resolved. And so now to the next....
