"Best Birthday In My Life"
Well, maybe if anyone actually think about these words, it means something deep. These came from a 16 year old who celebrated his birthday on Friday. We had a special guest on that day. It was a pity she had to feign not attending his birthday but she was meant to be a surprise.
The day started with me packing up stuffs for the chalet and meeting up with Peina. I went up to Sun Plaza to see Qin and had her to help me wrap the wallet up. Then I met up with Peina and hurried our way down to Pasir Ris while keeping tabs from Zheng Xian about where he and Huxley were. After unloading our stuffs, we proceeded to wrap the jigsaw puzzle up and in my life, this has to be the worst present I made...thanks to lack of time and a pair of scissors. I fixed letters that spelled HUXLEY on the main door. Finally they arrived and I picked them up. Then Huxley got a surprise at the main door when I feign that I forgot to bring the key out but I told him the door would open if he knocks the door. He knocked and after a short while, Peina opened the door and said 'Surprise'.
After all had settled in, the rest came. Huxley kept asking me to play pool and I followed reluctantly as it was a bit too early. We reached and there was no tables available so we ended up going back and played on Wii. They also intended to go bicycle riding but sadly the rent time was over. So eventually, it was time to raise the fire.
I was indoor all the while as I rather let the young ones have their fun....and I agree now it was a bad idea. Sihao did a good job of raising the fire and maintain the charcoal burning. Then Jimmy was the chef since he's a F&N student. Peina and Shixian did a good job of getting people motivated. Later, I came out to help out a while. Due to the fire being too strong, some food were cooked on the surface but raw on the inside or rather burnt. I helped myself with the pineapple rice...mainly. They were also drinking Jolly Shandy and I bought half a dozen of Heineken since Huxley wanna try. Then it dawned to me that they couldn't hold liquor after seeing Shixian, Peina and Zheng Xian go tipsy after a few sips from the same can of Heineken. And yet they thought it was okay to drink Jolly Shandy as it has a lower alcohol percentage. LOL. Then it was the cake cutting session where I prepared 'The Birthday Song' on air to add to the atmosphere. Qinghua who happens to be a April baby celebrated her birthday along with him and we sang happy birthday to them. Then it was back to more Wii gaming and we went out to look for leisure. After some times later, all went to sleep.
The next day, we had breakfast then they had a last walk around Downtown East. We packed up and left the place. We met later and went to sing at K-Box then later pool till late night. It was a tiring day but I believe most enjoyed themselves especially Huxley.
I am glad that you enjoy your birthday, Huxley. Hope you have many great days to come and best wishes to your exams. Like what I wrote in the birthday card, 'DUN EMO, BE HAPPY!" ^^
On a side note, Peina made me realise why the kids can click with me....well...they are little 'monkeys' ^^Labels: Life
